This Mesa/Boogie Road King 2x12 Horizontal Guitar Speaker Cabinet is a high-quality passive guitar cabinet built for serious amp heads, recording setups, and live stage use. The Road King 2x12 is known for its hybrid cabinet design, with one side built as an open-back section and the other as a sealed closed-back section, giving players a mix of tighter low-end punch and more open room-filling projection.
The rear jack plate supports split stereo/bi-amp style operation or combined mono operation. The visible open-back speaker is a Mesa Black Shadow MC-90 by Celestion, rated at 8 ohms / 90 watts. The factory Road King 2x12 configuration features a Mesa/Celestion C90 on one side and a Celestion Vintage 30 on the other.
This is a passive speaker cabinet only. It requires a compatible guitar amplifier head and a proper speaker cable.
 
Condition:
Good physical condition with normal road wear and no functional issues. The cabinet has visible wear from use, including scuffs, scratches, vinyl/tolex wear, corner wear, marks on the side panels, worn metal corner protectors, and a larger area of covering wear/tear near one lower rear side edge. The front grille cloth is intact overall with no major visible tears.
The original front Mesa/Boogie logo plate/badge is missing from the grille. There is also general cosmetic wear around the rear panel and jack plate area. The top handle is present. The cabinet has been used and shows it, but it remains a solid Mesa cabinet with no issues.
