Rare 2000 Jackson RR7R Rhoads 7-String Electric Guitar – Metallic Purple – Made in Japan with Hard Case
Rare Japanese-made extended-range Rhoads with a reverse headstock, reverse sharkfin inlays, and dual Duncan Designed humbuckers
This Jackson RR7R is an uncommon seven-string electric guitar built around Jackson’s asymmetrical Rhoads body design. Made in Japan around 2000, it features a bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets, reverse sharkfin inlays, and a reverse seven-in-line headstock.
The guitar is finished in a rich metallic purple that can appear slightly lighter, darker, or more violet depending on the lighting. Its satin-chrome hardware, large silver control plate, black Duncan Designed humbuckers, and sharply offset body give it a distinctive early-2000s Jackson appearance.
The dual seven-string Duncan Designed humbuckers provide strong output with good clarity across the extended range. The control layout consists of two volume knobs, one tone knob, and a three-way pickup selector. A Tune-o-matic-style bridge with string-through-body construction provides stable string support and straightforward intonation adjustment.
Condition:
Near-excellent pre-owned condition overall, conservatively categorized as Very Good due to one localized cosmetic flaw.
There is a small paint chip at the pointed tip of the longer body wing, as clearly shown in the photos. The chip is limited to the finish and does not affect the guitar structurally.
A few faint surface marks and minor signs of normal age-related use may be visible under close inspection or direct lighting. There is also light cosmetic wear on some screws, knobs, and hardware.
No cracks, neck-pocket damage, structural issues, major dents, significant finish wear, or repairs were noted. The body, neck joint, headstock, and shorter body tip all appear structurally sound.
The guitar has been tested and plays properly without any known functional issues. Both pickups, all three control knobs, the selector switch, and the output jack are working correctly.
The frets show very little visible wear and remain in excellent playing condition. The bridge, pickups, tuners, nut, string ferrules, and other major components are all in excellent functional condition. The Jackson tuners operate smoothly and hold tuning properly.
