1976 Fender Musicmaster Vintage Electric Guitar – Original Aged White Finish – Professionally Refretted

A collectible CBS-era Fender short-scale guitar with original components, authentic vintage character, and fresh professional fretwork

This 1976 Fender Musicmaster is a genuine USA-made vintage Fender with its original white finish naturally aged to a warm cream-yellow colour. Originally designed as a straightforward student model, the Musicmaster has become increasingly sought after by collectors and players who appreciate its compact short-scale neck, simple single-pickup layout, and distinctive vintage Fender sound.

All major hardware, electronics, and components are original. The guitar was recently professionally refretted and restrung by a luthier, improving its playability while retaining its original vintage character. It plays great and has no functional issues noted.

The Musicmaster features a 24-inch scale, bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, single neck-position pickup, individual volume and tone controls, and a fixed string-through bridge.

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition for a nearly 50-year-old instrument.

The original finish shows honest age-related wear, including surface scratches, scuffs, small marks, minor edge wear, and light dents from normal use. The bridge, screws, strap buttons, neck plate, and other metal components show natural oxidation and patina consistent with the guitar’s age. Please review all photos closely for the cosmetic details.

No major cracks, breaks, structural damage, or significant body damage were noted. The neck and body joint appear solid, and the guitar remains structurally sound.

It was recently professionally refretted and restrung by a luthier and now plays very well. The pickup, volume control, tone control, output jack, tuners, and other functional components have been tested with no working issues noted.
