W.T. Armstrong Flute (Serial 63887) — c.1964/65, Closed-Hole, Inline G, C-Foot, Silver-Plated
 
A classic W.T. Armstrong from the mid-1960s, made in Elkhart, Indiana, and stamped “Made by W.T. Armstrong.” This is a student/intermediate spec flute with closed-hole (plateau) keys, inline G, and a C-foot—comfortable to seal, stable intonation, and an easy-speaking low register. Silver-plated head/body/foot with the lively, focused Armstrong voice that’s great for learners, returning players, and ensemble use.
 
Condition:
Normal age-appropriate cosmetics remain—light scratches and a few tiny areas of persistent tarnish/toning (particularly near ends/tenons) that do not affect performance. The case shows vintage wear but is sound; hinges and latches are functional. Overall in excellent playing condition for its era.
