Condition and what is included

A vintage BOSS analog octave pedal with that thick, warm sub tone that defined the sound of a generation.

The BOSS OC-2 is a compact analog octave pedal produced from the mid-1980s through the early 2000s, widely regarded as one of the most musical octave pedals ever made. It generates one and two octaves below the input signal using analog circuitry, giving bass players and guitarists a dense, organic sub-octave texture that digital alternatives have long struggled to replicate. The OC-2 is a standard reference point in any serious discussion of analog octave effects.

Condition

The metallic brown enclosure shows scratches, paint chips, and finish wear on the sides and edges consistent with years of use. The knobs and jacks are intact. The bottom plate is dusty. No cracks are present and the unit is fully assembled.

Key Features

Brand: BOSS. Model: OC-2. Approximate year: 1990s. Made in: Japan. Analog octave generation, one and two octaves below input, the circuit that set the benchmark for sub-octave tone. Three knobs: Oct 1 level, Oct 2 level, and direct level, simple and immediate to dial in. Compact BOSS footprint, 4.9375 x 2.75 x 2.1875 in, weighing 0.88 lb, fits any board. Standard 9V DC center-negative power supply input, no battery required for gigging use. Jacks and knobs intact and solid.

The OC-2 analog circuit is the reason players still seek these out decades after it left production.
