It pairs a constant f/2.8 aperture with a double-focus system combining a linear motor and stepping motor for 480 fps autofocus drive speed. The built-in Optical Image Stabilizer works with Dual I.S. 2-compatible bodies for up to 7 stops of shake reduction, and the entire barrel is dust, splash, and freeze-resistant down to -10°C. A focus clutch mechanism enables instant AF/MF switching, and three programmable focus buttons are positioned within easy reach at any focal length. Compatible with teleconverters for up to 400mm reach.
